Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from families, attorneys, and court professionals.

Do you conduct independent custody evaluations?
We are completing forensic credentialing that will allow us to offer full custody evaluations and parenting capacity evaluations. Currently, we provide a strong range of clinical support services for families in the court system — including child emotional functioning reports, visitation plans, co-parent alignment sessions, and parent guidance reports. Most of our current services do not require a court order unless otherwise specified.
Does insurance cover court-related services?
No. All court and legal support services are self-pay. They are not billed through insurance and do not require a diagnosis. A signed service agreement and retainer are required before any work begins.
Can you provide testimony in court?
Our licensed clinicians can provide written clinical reports and documentation for court proceedings. Once forensic credentialing is complete, we will be qualified to provide expert testimony. Attorney consultation is available at $175 per hour.
How long does it take to complete a report or plan?
Most written plans are completed within 5 to 7 business days after the clinical session. Reports requiring record review and interview typically take 10 to 14 business days. Rush services are available for an additional fee.
Do you work with attorneys directly?
Yes. We welcome referrals from family law attorneys, guardians ad litem, mediators, and child welfare professionals. We offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation for attorneys to discuss whether our services are appropriate for a specific matter.
What is your retainer policy?
A non-refundable retainer of 50% is required at booking along with a signed service agreement. Work does not begin until both are received. The remaining balance is due prior to report delivery. All fees are reviewed annually. The fee in effect at the time of your signed agreement applies to your case.
